This month’s FSP Featured Poets @ Halifax Cafe presents Adelaide’s own Stephen Brock and, from Ballarat, Nathan Curnow.

published his first collection of poetry The Night is a Dying Dog (Wakefield Press) in 2007, and received a grant from Arts SA for the completion of Double Glaze, published by Five Islands Press in 2013. He is the co-translator with Sergio Holas and Juan Garrido-Salgado of Poetry of the Earth: Mapuche Trilingual Anthology (Interactive Press 2014). His work has featured in the Best Australian Poems (Black Inc.) and has been published in journals in Australia and overseas. Steve completed a PhD in Australian literature at Flinders University in 2003, and works in the higher education sector. His chapbook Jardin du Luxembourg is forthcoming with Garron Publishing (2016).
Nathan Curnow
lives in Ballarat and is a past editor of Going Down Swinging. He is the author of five collections of poetry, including The Ghost Poetry Project, RADAR and The Right Wrong Notes. His most recent collection The Apocalypse Awards (2016) is inspired by the absurdity of the modern world and charts our collective obsession with the end times. He is a recipient of numerous awards, including the Josephine Ulrick Poetry Prize, is the father of four daughters, and teaches creative writing at Federation University.
