Mike Hopkins  was born in London, and lived in England, Wales, Ireland, Zimbabwe and Malawi before settling in Adelaide in 1988. He was twice Rostrum South Australia Speaker of the Year, a State finalist in the Australian Poetry Slam in 2012, won the South Australian Libraries World Poetry Day Slam in 2013, the ‘60 Second Slam’ in the Adelaide Fringe in 2014 and was a finalist in the Spoken Word SA Summer Slam 2017. His poetry has been published in journals and magazines in Australia and Europe and has featured on both local and national radio. He has two collections: Selfish Bastards (Garron Publishing, 2016); Mistaken for a Real Poet(Friendly Street New Poets 16, Wakefield Press, 2011).

Louise Nicholas was born in Port Lincoln, South Australia. She has been a primary school teacher for over thirty years and currently teaches part time. Her publications include three self-published chapbooks – The Smear TestHaven’t you had it yet? and The Mammogram; WomanSpeak, co-written with Jude Aquilina (Wakefield Press 2009); Large (Garron Press 2013); The List of Last Remaining (Five Islands Press 2016); and Meet My Mother(Ginninderra Press 2018). Louise’s work has also been published in literary journals, magazines and anthologies and has been included in three Best of Australian anthologies.
