Guest Poet: David Ades
David Adès is an Australian poet currently living in Pittsburgh. He has been a member of Friendly Street Poets since 1979 including stints on the Friendly Street Committee and as Convenor. His collection Mapping the World was commended for the Anne Elder Award 2008. His poems have appeared widely in Australian and more recently American journals and literary magazines. He was a volunteer editor of the inaugural (and so far only) Australian Poetry Members Anthology metabolism. Poems have recently been published or are forthcoming in 5 AM, Blue Pepper, Boston Literary Review, Cordite Poetry Review, Four and Twenty Poetry Journal, Illya’s Honey, InDaily, Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Poetica, Red River Review, Social Alternatives, Spiritus, Studio, Tamba and The Fourth River._

Your chance to have your three minutes at the open mic. Every poem read is eligible for selection in our annual anthology. Please bring three copies of your poem and include your name and permission to publish. Read it, place it in the box and it will be be considered by our editors for publication in our anthology.
