Monthly Readings: location in the City

Friendly Street Poets monthly reading is held on the first Tuesday of each month (except January) in the Atrium, on the 2nd Floor of the Malcolm Reid Building. This is at 187 East Rundle Street, above Cafe Brunelli. There is wheelchair access via 26 York Street, which runs parallel with East Rundle St and take the lift up to the 2nd floor. The same lift can be accessed via Cafe Brunelli or you can take the stairs off East Rundle Street. Both of these entrances are are indicated in the image below.

Entry is $5.00/ $4.00 concession at the door. Wine and fruit juice are provided free.

Anyone can read at Friendly Street – simply pay your entrance fee and your name will be written in the Readers Book. Book in at 6.30 p.m. for a 7p.m. start. We have a break at 9 p.m. then continue until all poets have read.

You need to become a Friendly Street Poets member if you want your poems to be eligible to be considered for publication in the next Friendly Street Poets’ Anthology. Please bring two copies of your poems – typed, printed on one side of white A4 paper. Write your name, phone number and address on the back of each page. Also sign your name and give permission for publication.
