FSP June City Meeting – Anthology 49 launch and Open Mic

Apologies for the previous confusing info re dates for this meeting. This one is correct: ignore the others!!

$5 to read; free to listen.
Strict 3-minute time limit, including any introductions, explanations and post-scripts.

The evening will commence with the launch of the FSP Anthology 49, edited by Martha Landman and Avalanche.

As part of the launch, the winners of the Satura and Nova Prizes will be announced by this year’s Judge, who will be revealed on the night, along with the title and cover of the Anthology. The Satura Prize recognises the best poem in the Anthology as selected by the Judge, whilst the Nova Prize recognised the best poem by a poet appearing in an FSP Anthology for the first time.

After the announcements, the prize winning poets will read their poems. Some commended poems and some poems-of-the-month also will be read.

Then there will be a break, during which attendees can purchase copies of the new Anthology for $25 each.

After the break, there will be two halves of Open Mic, in the usual format, expecting to finish between 9:30pm and 10:00pm.

You can submit poems read at the Open Mic for consideration in the next Anthology via the form below.
