Annette (Anne) Odgers was born in 1931 in South Australia and died in 1986. She won the John Shaw Neilson Poetry Award in 1978 and the Circular Head Arts Festival Poetry Competition in 1980. She was anthologised in The Last Poets’ Choice (1979), A Spin of Gold Wattle (1982) and Tuesday Night Live (1993).
Anne played the recorder and the viola da gamba, and loved early music. She used music therapy with mentally handicapped people. She also painted and sketched. She belonged to the Society of Women Writers. She tragically died at the age of 55 in 1986.
