FSP Anthology 45 on-line poetry submissions – updated

The annual anthology publishes a selection of poems by FSP members. Normally, all original poems read by members of Friendly Street Poets at an official FSP meeting, whether in the city or at a regional centre, are eligible to be selected for publication in the anthology. However, with face to face meetings cancelled for the foreseeable future, obviously this year will be slightly different. Poems submitted at the in-person meetings already held remain eligible, but for (most likely) some months at least, we will be accepting digital submissions.

To submit to our Annual Anthology 45 you must do so here via the Submission Form below.

On-line Submission Rules for the Annual Anthology 45

  • You MUST be a 2020 financial member of Friendly Street Poets.
  • There is a 600-word limit total per submission, regardless of number of poems.
  • All poems must be submitted in one document in either MS Word (.doc or .docx) or PDF (.pdf) format.
  • The name of this document should be your surname, initials & the number of poems submitted: e.g., FordND3.pdf (3 poems by N.D. Ford, saved as PDF).
  • You can only make one submission per month by the 15th day of the month.
  • You cannot make an on-line submission and submit a poem at an open mic reading in the same month. No double-dipping!
  • Submissions are accepted ONLY via the FSP website form.
  • Poem of the Month and any Commendations will be announced the following month.
  • Poem of the Month will be published on the FSP Website.
  • Offensive language will not be tolerated. This refers to sexist, racist, threatening or other discriminatory wording, not to the actual language. Swear words are okay if in context of the poem, but intolerance of “other” will not be accepted.
