This is the final Featured Poets session for 2018, and we have two of Adelaide’s finest poets to see us out.

As usual the fabulous Halifax Cafe will be open for meals, snacks and beverages. Come early, stay late!

Jill Jones has published eleven books of poetry, and a number of chapbooks, including Viva the Real (UQP), Brink (Five Islands) and The Beautiful Anxiety (Puncher & Wattmann), which won the 2015 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Poetry. FSP November City Meeting & Open Mic

Sign-in from 6:00pm for a 6:20pm start. Second session starts around 7:30pm.

$5 to read; free to just come and listen.

There is a strict time limit of 3 minutes per reader. This ensures everyone gets a fair go and an opportunity to read to an audience!

Bring two copies of your poems if you’d like to submit them to the next Anthology. Make sure your poems have your name, email and phone number on the back of the page, otherwise they will not be considered.… Click for more

The biggest prize money for a poetry slam in SA!
1st Prize = $1,000
2nd Prize = $200
Other finalists receive $50 each.
People’s Choice Prize = $100.

Judges: Jude Aquilina, Elise Silson, Ian Gibbins.

Sign-in for competitors from 11:30 am.
All competitors MUST register before the commencement of the Heat 1 at 12:15.

Three heats, starting at 12:15 pm.
Final (the top 3 from each heat) at 3:15 pm.

Open mic poetry session between the heats and the final.
