Bring along your poems to read or just come and listen to a diverse range of poetry. Remember, 3 minutes maximum mic time per reader to make sure everyone gets a go and has an audience.

Sign-in from 6:00pm for a start around 6:20pm. Second session starts around 7:30pm.

If you want your poem to be considered for this year’s anthology, you must be a member of FSP. Bring along two printed copies of your poem with all your contact details on them for submission.

FSP Featured Poets at Halifax Cafe: Jude Aquilina and Mike Hopkins

The Halifax Cafe will be open for meals, refreshments, coffee and more. Come early, stay late.

FSP June City Open Mic and “Fleurieu Flow” Book Launch

Doors open 6:00pm to sign-on for 6:30pm start.

The session will include a soft launch of Fleurieu Flow, the first anthology of poetry from FSP Poetry on the Fleurieu. Contributors to the book are invited to read from the book during a standard 3 minute slot. Open mic still applies for everyone.

Single Poet 2019 submissions: extended deadline

Friendly Street Poets is pleased to announce that submissions for Single Poet 2019 open on 1st May 2019.

Each volume in the Single Poet series publishes a full-length collection of poems from a poet who has not yet published such a collection.

Please read carefully the following information regarding eligibility, presentation format, and the selection process. Any entries which fail to comply with these submission guidelines will be disqualified.

When you are ready, submit your manuscript via the form below. Submissions will only be accepted via this form.
